Class Description:

Splash a little sparkle into your autumn with this intermediate lettering project. With this project, you’ll be playing with autumn colors and shimmering golds to create stunning designs that highlight this time of year. You’ll have plenty of seasonal phrases to play with as you expand your watercolor lettering skills. If you are ready to wield the power of gold watercolor, then this project is for you!

What You Will Learn:

Using metallic watercolors for lettering
Capturing autumn tones
Crafting eye-catching compositions
Infusing seasonal themes into creative projects
Achieving harmony and balance in your design

Supplies You'll Need:

Metallic watercolor set
Watercolor paper
A variety of round watercolor brushes
A palette or mixing dish
Two jars of water (one for clean water, one for rinsing brushes)
Paper towels or a rag for blotting and drying brushes
A pencil for sketching outlines before painting

The Process "Warts and All"

Shelby delivers on her promise (as above) and as such, shows the real skill but also where the fun is, in doing this project. Everyone was involved in the discussions and using both white and black paper really showed how lovely the paints were to watch being applied. I learnt that having a laser pointer is invaluable!
