This class was my perfect 8 oz. cappuccino with the whole sugar packet! Although there was 24 ounces of information, I realized the importance of learning about what is under all those feathers to understand the basic skeleton. Also, looking for the shapes that make up the general structure which can later be connected that will create a believable bird!

This is one of the best foxsy classes I have ever taken. I could tell that it was so well researched. I really appreciated how thorough and in-depth it was but also how simple and easy it was to understand for the beginner. I am so looking forward to future drawing classes from Shelby! Even if drawing birds might not be your thing, I still highly suggest taking this class because it gives a very in-depth look at how to research and look at references of whatever your thing is so that you know how to draw what you want to draw.

Excellent content, it’s great to get instruction on basic bird anatomy and I appreciate the approach of teaching how to draw birds from any reference rather than just learning how to draw off one specific image. Very comprehensive in a relatively short time. I am newer to drawing techniques and think this will certainly help my sketching speed.

Yes, it was packed full of information but all of it was important to understanding how to make your art better. Shelby presents it in a cohesive manner and helps by drawing and presenting the elements in a way that connects all the dots.
